The 1st XI had their first match of the hockey season and a friendly against Brighton College 2nd XI was a great way to kick things off. The girls prepared well in the warm-up and looked lively to get stuck in with an organised press and excellent decision making once possession was obtained. In the first quarter, Roedean went 1-0 through Sorrel (U15A) who smashed it past the Brighton College keeper. Roedean then controlled the game well with Bella and Megs running the midfield and working hard to link the defence and attack. The back four were resolute with marking and outletting to ensure calmness and midfield had time on the ball. The next goal came from Elodie after a strong ball carry and finished off excellently again. The final goal came from Sophie (U15A) who finished off a beautiful move, with the final score being 3-0 to Roedean.
